A Trusted Network of Experts to Support Your Student Beyond Admissions
I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to student success. Over the years, I’ve built relationships with exceptional professionals who support students in areas such as interview coaching, executive functioning, sorority rush, standardized testing, athletic recruiting, personality assessment, and more. These are trusted experts I know personally and confidently recommend, each selected for their empathy, integrity, and expertise in helping students thrive.

Interview Preparation
With many colleges increasingly incorporating live interviews and “selfie video” submissions, students need to be able to speak confidently about who they are and why they belong at a university. These formats require an authentic, unscripted voice and the ability to deliver a clear, compelling, and genuine elevator pitch. I’m expanding my own training in interview coaching to help students build these essential skills, and for those needing more specialized guidance, I partner with a seasoned interview expert. Developing this personal communication ability ensures students can present themselves with confidence and sincerity when it matters most.
Sorority Rush Counseling
Sorority recruitment today, especially at Southern universities, is a very different experience from what most mothers remember from their own college days. The process has become more structured, more competitive, and governed by detailed rules and expectations that begin well before freshman year even starts. From creating “selfie videos” and preparing polished photos to planning outfits and understanding etiquette, there’s a growing list of elements students need to navigate. But even more important than visuals is the ability to build authentic relationships and make a genuine impression within the houses they’re hoping to join.

I work with a specialist who coaches students through every aspect of recruitment and understands the nuances and expectations at specific campuses. With her guidance, students feel confident, prepared, and empowered — ensuring they enter rush week with clarity, poise, and a true sense of readiness.

Executive Functioning Skills Coaching
Executive functioning skills (such as organization, planning, time management, task initiation, and emotional regulation) are often the hidden drivers of student success. The transition to high school rigor, and later to the independence of college life, can be overwhelming without strong systems in place. I work with an executive functioning specialist who teaches students how to break large tasks into manageable steps, create realistic study routines, balance academic and social commitments, and build sustainable habits that reduce stress rather than amplify it. This kind of coaching empowers students not just to keep up, but to thrive with confidence and independence, both during the admissions process and throughout their college years.
AP, SAT, and ACT Tutoring
Standardized testing can still play an important role in admissions strategy, especially as many colleges shift back toward requiring or strongly considering scores. Whether a student chooses the SAT or ACT, or is still deciding, targeted tutoring can make a significant difference in both confidence and performance. I partner with highly experienced test-prep professionals who specialize in individualized instruction (offered either in-person or virtually) and who help students understand question patterns, strengthen weak areas, master timing, and develop smart testing strategies. These tutors don’t just teach content; they teach approach and mindset. With the right preparation, students walk into test day feeling calm, prepared, and capable of showing their best academic potential.

Feedback from Former Admissions Officers
My expertise lies in storytelling, student insight, and strategic positioning. While I don’t believe one must have been a former admissions officer to guide a student in presenting their strongest, most authentic application, I do have access to a network of former admissions officers from highly selective and well-respected institutions. These experts have collectively reviewed tens of thousands of applications and have deep insight into what matters at the decision-making stage. When appropriate, I can facilitate application reviews by these former admissions professionals, who provide direct, candid, and actionable feedback based on their insider understanding of the admissions process. This allows students to benefit from both my guidance and the perspective of those who have evaluated applications from the other side of the admissions desk.

Athletic Recruiting Guidance
For many students, athletics is not just an extracurricular; it’s a core part of their identity and a meaningful pathway into college. I’m certified with Student Athlete Advisors, an organization specializing in the recruiting process across all sports and competitive levels. Through this collaboration, I can help student-athletes understand the full recruiting landscape, including how to communicate with coaches, build a strong athletic résumé, navigate NCAA guidelines, and identify programs that are truly the right academic, athletic, and cultural fit. Whether a student is targeting Division I, II, III, club, or intramural opportunities, this partnership ensures that their athletic journey is aligned with their college aspirations, giving them clarity, confidence, and strategic direction.

Personality & Strengths Insights (Myers-Briggs)
Understanding a student’s natural preferences (how they think, communicate, make decisions, and recharge) can be incredibly valuable in shaping an authentic college direction. I work with a certified Myers-Briggs practitioner who helps students gain insight into their personality type and how it influences their learning style, collaboration preferences, and environments where they thrive. These insights can inform not only college selection and major exploration, but also how students talk about themselves in interviews, essays, and on campus once enrolled. With expert Myers-Briggs support, students develop deeper self-awareness and the confidence that comes from understanding their strengths and how to express them.
